A majority of people in Thailand want the government to take measures to spur the economy, trade and investment in order to build people's confidence, according to an opinion survey by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University. The poll was conducted between May 15-20 on 1,466 people throughout the country to compile their opinions on what the government should do to build people's confidence in it. The National Council for Peace and Order is about to enter its fourth year in office. The people's opinions can be used by the government to improve its work efficiency and to better meet the people's needs, said the pollster. A majority - 80.15% - of the people surveyed suggest the government should take measures to spur the economy, trade and investment.
